# Miecze
Miecze są podstawowym i obowiązkowym elementem wszystkich konstrukcji drewnianych typu wiata, altana, carport itp. W konstrukcji pełnią funkcję stężającą i usztywniającą. Dzięki temu konstrukcja jest stabilna i jest zdolna do prawidłowego przeciwstawiania się siłą jakie na nią oddziałują.
Jeśli w konstrukcji nie ma mieczy to jakiekolwiek odchylenie jej od stanu stabilnego np. poprzez podmuchy wiatru, albo śnieg, który nawiało z jednej strony bardziej niż z drugiej powoduje powstanie sił, które nie są kontrowane żadnym elementem i które mogą finalnie doprowadzić zniszczenia konstrukcji.\

Dopuszcza się usunięcie mieczy na stronach przylegających do ściany innej konstrukcji w momencie gdy jest ona kotwiona do ściany.
